Updated: Feb 2

We begin this week still feeling the effects of Sunday's Full Moon in Leo. Full Moons bring things to a peak; emotions, situations, clarity about what needs to be released. In Leo, this lunation asks us to look at how authentically we're expressing ourselves and where we might be holding back our creative spark or unique gifts.

This Full Moon opposed the Sun, Venus, and Mars, all in Aquarius. Leo represents the individual heart. What brings YOU joy, what makes YOU feel alive. Aquarius represents the collective. Community, the greater good, innovation that serves humanity. The opposition between them creates tension: how do we honor our individual needs while also participating in something larger than ourselves?

Some of us might be feeling pulled to express ourselves more boldly, to be seen, to create from the heart. Others might be recognizing where we've been too focused on recognition or approval, forgetting our connection to community. This Full Moon invites us to find the balance. To shine our light not for ego's sake, but as an offering to the world.

February 2 - 4: Sun Semi Square with Neptune and Uranus

Early in the week (Monday - Wednesday) we are looking at a couple of friction points. Both Saturn and Neptune will be making semi-square with the Sun. Now, this isn't going to be nearly as strong as a square aspect. Just enough to cause something of an itch.

The Sun's semi-square to Saturn might bring minor frustrations around responsibilities or limitations. Small delays or obligations that feel like they're getting in the way of what you'd rather be doing.

Meanwhile, Neptune's semi-square to the Sun may bring some internal fog - uncertainty about what you want or which inspired impulse to follow. Your rational mind (Sun in Aquarius) might feel at odds with dreamy possibilities (Neptune in Aries).

February 4th: Uranus goes Direct

So, last year in September Uranus decided to go retrograde. Which means that all that momentum and push forward got flipped around and have been more looking inward. Good time for therapy... bad time for getting projects going. This week that time is coming to an end with the planet finally moving forward again.

To add some extra spice to the mix it's happening in Taurus. Taurus is in the same area as Pentacles in the tarot. All about the physical world... money, security, physical health. Bonus... Uranus isn't a quiet presence either. We're looking forward to some sudden changes and big shifts. Things might come out of nowhere and right now it's going to be the time for discernment.

Pay attention to what is happening and take advantage of what comes your way. Trust that the chaos is going somewhere and ride the wave!

February 5th: Mercury Square Uranus

Uranus is just the star of the show all around this week. Thursday brings Mercury square Uranus, and fresh off going direct, Uranus is extra charged up. Mercury is the planet of communication, thinking, and information. Expect some friction in these areas. Dumb arguments, wibbly technology, messages that come out wrong or land unexpectedly.

Try not to let it get to you too much. Mercury is in Aquarius right now, which asks for rational thought, so after the heat of the moment passes, take a step back and really look at what came up. Don't just let those conflicts or disruptions go by. This is a time to learn from them. Uranus brings sudden clarity and breakthrough moments. That argument might reveal a truth you needed to hear. That tech glitch might force you toward a better solution. Stay open to the unexpected insights hiding in the chaos.

February 6th: Mercury enters Pisces

As we’ve already covered, Mercury is the planet of communication, thought, and the mind. In Aquarius it was more at home with rationality and distance, but now it’s moving into Pisces… a water sign. More specifically, the sign of intuition… of feeling. And that is how things are going to feel going forward. Communication is likely to filter through emotions and intuition. Don't expect straightforward, linear communication right now. Conversations may meander, and clarity might feel slippery. More likely it will tangle and have to be untangled. With that in mind, slow down, take the time to feel through things rather than think through them. Take advantage of this energy by looking into some creative pursuits to use as expression. Painting, music, dance, whatever feels right in the moment. Just watch out for misunderstandings or getting too caught up in daydreams without checking facts.

February 8th: Venus Square Uranus

Closing out this week we have Venus Squaring (guess who... again!) This is going to add a lot of restlessness to things. That feeling of wanting to buy some odd thing that catches your eye... or suddenly color or cut your hair dramatically. To get away.... change something... Let's not be too hasty, however. Take some time to really sit with some of these sudden ideas. A few of them might be just what you need, but let's make sure before leaping. Others? Others are flashes in the pan.

What is a Void of Course Moon?

Think of the Moon as the cosmic "Project Manager" of our daily lives. As it travels through a zodiac sign, it "talks" to other planets (making aspects). The Void of Course period begins the moment the Moon finishes its last conversation in one sign and lasts until it enters the next sign.

It’s a time when the "weaver has dropped her thread." Because the Moon isn't making any new connections, the energy is "adrift."

What to do:

  • Rest and Routine: Perfect for chores, cleaning, or mindless admin.

  • Reflection: Excellent for journaling or meditating.

  • Finish what’s started: Wrap up old projects rather than launching new ones.

What to avoid (if possible):

  • Big Launches: If you start a business or launch a product now, it may "go nowhere."

  • Important Signatures: Contracts signed in the void often need to be revised later.

  • First Dates: The "vibe" might be hard to pin down.

Void of Course Times: Feb 2 – Feb 8, 2026

Feb 2 - 5:55 pm until it enters Virgo at 10:21 pm

Feb 5th - 2:49 am until it enters Libra at 4:33 am

Feb 7th - 6:59 am until it enters Scorpio at 2:13 pm

Closing Reflection

There is a lot of energy going about this week, and much of it is settled in sudden changes to our lives. It can feel like the train is off the rails and there really isn’t anywhere we can go. That we’re just at the mercy of it all. When, in truth, the answer is to slow down and breathe. Let the things you can’t change flow by and focus on the ones you can.

Tarot Card of the Week

Knight of Wands

“I move with intention, not impulse.

My energy follows purpose, and my actions are chosen with care.”

The Knight of Wands is impulsive, full of energy, many times to the point where he ends up in go now… think later kind of situation. He jumps before thinking, running headlong into things. While this is a rather brave approach to things, it’s not always the best course of action. This week is filled with his presence. Run, go, move! The desire screams at us from multiple directions. And that is the exact reason why we need to stop… take a breath and work out which things we can, or need to, run into the fray… and which ones might be best avoided.

Supporting Herbs

Peppermint

Peppermint sharpens the mind and cools overheated energy.

  • Supports: clear thinking, conscious choice, mental refresh

  • Helps when: excitement turns into scattered action

Use when you need to ask: “Is this a yes… or just adrenaline?”

Lemon Balm

This is an excellent herb for Knight of Wands weeks.

  • Supports: emotional regulation, steady nerves, joyful clarity

  • Helps when: urgency feels anxious instead of inspired

It keeps the enthusiasm pleasant and sustainable, not frantic.

Rosemary

Rosemary supports directed action.

  • Supports: memory, intention, purposeful movement

  • Helps when: you want to act, but wisely

This is “move forward with your eyes open” energy.

Supporting Crystals

Tiger’s Eye

One of the best stones for this card.

  • Supports: discernment, grounded confidence, strategic action

  • Helps temper: reckless risk-taking

Ask with this stone: “Which action is worth my energy?”

Smoky Quartz

This is your impulse filter.

  • Supports: grounding, slowing reactive behavior

  • Helps when: excitement overrides practicality

Think: feet on the ground, eyes forward.

Hematite

Excellent for decision-making weeks.

  • Supports: pause, structure, follow-through

  • Helps prevent: impulsive commitments you’ll regret later
